Classroom Integration Specialist

Job description

The Roanoke College Classroom Integration Specialist successfully assists in managing the planning and implementation of classroom technology.  Provides consulting of classroom technology design and setup.  Provides technology support for College-sponsored and/or hosted conferences and events.  Ensures that the student staff has the skills through training and certifications to provide the services needed to assist with design, setup, and troubleshooting.

 

Hours are 8 am –4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (determined by department director). Division Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with occasional after-hours event, maintenance, emergency, client service, and on-call responsibilities. 

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technology problems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with students, faculty, and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service skills
  • 3 Years minimum of classroom and event technology troubleshooting
  • 3 Years minimum of classroom system design experience 
  • System implementation and project management experience 
  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License

 

Preferred

  • Client Service Skills training
  • Higher Education Experience
  • Experience with Extron, Crestron, AMX or other audio-visual control systems
  • InfoComm/AVIXA CTS Certification
  • Learning environment consulting experience
  • MCSA: Windows 10
